Michael Sans, Product Designer, MA (RCA)

Michael is trained as a cabinet maker, received a Bachelor Degree in Industrial Design from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, USA and has worked as an Automotive Designer for VOLKSWAGEN AG, Germany. Before opening his own studio in 2003, he completed his Masters Degree in Design Products from the Royal College of Art in London.

Michael's past clients include companies such as VOLKSWAGEN AG, AHLERS AG or ADAM OPEL GmbH. He has designed window campaigns and retail installations for HUGO BOSS, JET SET and PIERRE CARDIN and, very recently, has developed the new store-concept for BALDESSARINI.
Sans has been appointed guest-professor at the "Hochschule für Gestaltung Braunschweig" (University of Applied Arts, Braunschweig) where he has been teaching in the department of Industrial Design.

In addition to his work for external clients Sans has collaborated with the Swiss illustrator Gregory Gilbert-Lodge on an on-going art project: SWISSMADEINGERMANY (www.swissmadeingermany.com).

In 2008 he launched MICHAEL SANS BERLIN, an accessories label for very exclusive, hand-made, luxury leather goods (www.michaelsansberlin.com).
